October reading wrap up | 2019

I took a break last week because I wasn’t feeling well and was super busy, and this week I’m even more sick than I was before, typical!

But, ignoring the usual seasonal sniffles, I thought it was finally time that I wrap up the books I read last month, because it’s already the 12th of November! Time flies.

I’m quite surprised that I managed to get through eight books last month, as I also moved house, so the past few weeks have been a bit crazy.

I’ve been using my library quite a lot the past few months as well, which is great.

September reading wrap up | 2019

Hi friends, it’s now October, which means it’s time to do my monthly wrap up!

I had a lot of packing to do last month (and this month), so while I was sorting things out I was able to listen to quite a few audiobooks, which definitely upped the number of books I read in September.

In September, I read 13 books, which I think is the most I’ve read in a month all year. But like I said, most of them were audiobooks so not sure how much that counts!
Definitely a wide range of genres here, and even a few non-fiction.

Apologies for not having proper pictures this month, we’ll be back to normal in a couple of weeks!

August reading wrap up | 2019

Hi all,

The past few weeks have really been getting away from me, but I’m back today to share all the books that I read in August, and how I felt about them.

Last month, I read a total of nine books, which is pretty average for me.

There was definitely some books I really enjoyed, and some that I wasn’t a fan of this month, so a bit across the board reading-wise, which is a shame but what can you do.

Here’s what I read:

Mid year reading wrap up + statistics | 2019

IMG_20190705_214114.jpg

Hello! As always I am infinitely surprised that we have now officially passed six full months of the year.

However, that does mean it’s time to look at my statistics, how much I’ve been reading, when, and what I’ve been picking up.

I don’t normally do statistics in my wrap ups, but I always find them really interesting to see, so hopefully you feel the same way.

My reading goal for the year was 52, which I’ve already met, so I’m now informally aiming for 100.

A full list of all the books I’ve read and what I’ve rated them can be found on my Goodreads, which is linked in the sidebar to the right.

Let’s get mathematical.

February wrap up 2019

IMG_0175

Happy March! This year already feels like it’s flying away at lightning speed, but by some miracle I’ve managed to get through a fair few books so, actually relatively on time for once, I’m here to share with you what I got through.

In February, I read a total of eight books! That brings my final total for the year so far up to 16.

I had a very e-book heavy month in February, my Kindle has barely been out of my hands since the start of the month, but I do want to make a conscious effort to pick up more of my physical books so hopefully that will change a bit for the future.

Reading wrap up | January 2019

IMG_20190205_214715

Hello! It is already February (HOW) and that means it’s time for me to wrap up all the books that I’ve read in the past month. Even if it is now the middle of the month and I’m a little late.

I set my target at 52 for the year which means I should be reading at least one book a week, or four a month, which I was a little bit worried about as I tend to go through phases of reading loads or reading nothing.

However, pleased to say that I smashed that four books goal this month. Despite how sad the above picture looks, in January, I read a total of eight books. Woohoo!

2018 full reading wrap up

book

Happy new year! It seems surreal to be writing this in January 2019, I’m still unsure where the time has gone.

Since it is January, that means it’s time to wrap up the books I got through in 2018.

As with the past few years, my reading goal was set at 50, which I’m proud to say I actually completed for once! I actually read 57 (and three quarters of another one), so let’s see some statistics. I didn’t count the 58th book, as I’ve still got a little bit to finish.

August book wrap up

IMG_0077

I say this at the start of every month, but I am constantly surprised when the start of a new month rolls around.

However, it is now September, which means it’s time to share all the books I read in August with you all.

I read a fairly respectable five books, which I’m fine with, and it means I am now SO CLOSE to actually completing my goal of reading 50 books this year. I officially have less than 10 books left and it’s only September. What a time to be alive.

This was also a month filled with audiobooks and not an awful lot of physical books, as I naughtily took advantage of an audible sale… oops.

Mid year reading wrap up

This is going up rather late, but I thought it might be interesting to look at some quick statistics on my reading so far this month, as a mid-year reading wrap up.

From January until the end of June, I read 30 books, which I think is pretty respectable, and it means that I am on track to complete my 50 book challenge by the end of the year for once!

I’ve divided a couple of stats up by different categories, such as pages, gender, star rating etc.

May wrap up

IMG_1292

I am getting really behind in writing blog posts (thank procrastination and work for that one) so I figured I’d post my May wrap up. Relatively on time! For once!

I think I read quite a respectable seven books in May, which is definitely better than my April effort, so I’m quite pleased with that.

Here’s the books I read:
