It’s 2018! As usual, I’m constantly surprised every time the first of a new month rolls around, but it means a refresh of my reading goals for the year.
Last year my target was 50 books, and I ended up reading a total of 32. Clearly I didn’t do so well, but I also finished a masters degree, wrote a 20,000 word dissertation, got a full time job and worked every day for three months. So in hindsight- 32 doesn’t really seem like too shabby an effort.
I feel like I read quite a range of books last year, but towards the end of the year I definitely started reading shorter books in a bid to meet my goal (which obviously did not work). However- I also took on Stephen King’s absolute tome It, albeit in audiobook form. I wrote an entire review on it, and although I plan on reading more Stephen King this year, I do definitely prefer shorter books.
